4 CORNERS Turns 17: How It All Started

September is a special month for me because 4 CORNERS Deposition Summaries was born in September 2009.

At the time, I had already spent years working alongside trial lawyers as a paralegal, and I saw firsthand just how much time goes into preparing a case. Depositions are an essential part of that process, but reviewing and organizing lengthy transcripts can take hours… time that attorneys and their legal teams could be spending elsewhere on the case.

I knew there had to be a way to help.

So, I started 4 CORNERS with a simple purpose: to help lawyers save time and money by providing professional, organized deposition summaries they could rely on throughout their cases.

What began as an idea in 2009 has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to work with trial lawyers and legal teams across the country, helping them organize deposition testimony and prepare for the work ahead.

A lot has changed since those early days, but one thing hasn’t — our commitment to the people we serve.

We still focus exclusively on deposition summaries. We still believe experience and attention to detail matter. And we still approach every transcript knowing that there is a real case (and a real client) behind it. And yes, our clients still demand humans over the AI. 

As we celebrate another birthday this September, I’m especially grateful for the attorneys and legal teams who have trusted 4 CORNERS over the years, as well as the incredible people who have helped build this company alongside me.

17 years later, our purpose remains the same: helping legal teams save valuable time so they can focus on their cases and their clients.
